Sémillon | White

AOC Entre-deux-Mers

Presentation

Diane captures the aura of a historic grape variety, behind the great Bordeaux wines. Jacques Lurton and his teams roam the vineyard, taste the fruit, and select the finest grapes to find the epitome of complexity and elegance. The Goddess Diane is charmingly discreet. She is best enjoyed in a calm setting, far from outdoor distractions. She is more of an evening person, when the sun goes down and the stress of the day fades.

The wine

Varietal

Sémillon : 95%

Sauvignon blanc : 5%

Alcohol content

13.5% vol.

Weather conditions

2020 was marked by very mild temperatures and contrasting precipitation: heavy spring rainfall was followed by an intense summer drought. The fairly mild winter led to early bud break. The summer heat gave way to cool nights in late August, ideal for ripening grapes.

Harvest

8 September 2020

Tasting

Pale yellow colour, slightly golden.
With a beautiful intensity, the nose reveals tasty notes of white fruit (peach, pear), associated with very gourmet aromas of brioche and cake dough.
This Semillon is surprisingly long and concentrated for a dry white. Its roundness perfectly enhances the pear notes. The finish is long, the mark of a great Semillon.
