Château Tour de Bonnet Grande Cuvée Red 2019

Château Tour de Bonnet
Grande Cuvée | Red

AOC Bordeaux

Presentation

Château Tour de Bonnet exists in white, rosé and red versions. This wine was created to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the construction of a belvedere by André Lurton's grandfather, Léonce Récapet. Aged with special care and attention partly in new oak barrels, a new prestige cuvée, Château Tour de Bonnet Grande Cuvée, now adds to the estate's range. It will delight people who love rich, powerful wines. It has a bouquet of ripe fruit with hints of vanilla and is smooth and perfectly balanced on the palate!

The wine

Varietal

Cabernet sauvignon : 58%

Merlot : 42%

Alcohol content

13,5% vol.

Weather conditions

2019 was marked by the virtual absence of cold weather in the winter, resulting in earlier bud-
break dates in the vineyards. Spring rainfall was scant. A spell of severe drought made itself felt at
the start of the summer. The rains in August saved the vines.

Harvest

24 September - 14 October 2019.

Tasting

A deep ruby-red colour.
The nose is intensely aromatic, with scents of black fruits such as blackberry and blackcurrant, enriched by delicate hints of chocolate.
The attack is supple. The palate is wonderfully round and pleasantly fresh. The delicious aromas of black fruits persist throughout the palate, giving this wine a harmonious balance and great drinkability. The finish has an elegant, well-integrated tannic structure.

Château Bonnet

Château Bonnet

The cradle of Vignobles André Lurton, Château Bonnet is first and foremost a family home where tradition and ecological commitment come together in harmony. Nestled in the heart of the Entre-deux-Mers region, the estate promotes biodiversity with beehives, a henhouse, flowering fallows and orchards, while adopting biocontrol viticultural practices for some of its plots. Its fresh, expressive dry white wines reveal delicate notes of citrus and exotic fruit, perfect for accompanying seafood and oysters from the Bay of Arcachon. Its well-balanced red wines, with supple tannins, express all the richness and deliciousness of the fruit.
